Located at Malin Head, Ireland’s most northerly point overlooking the fishing pier, beach, sea and highlands of Donegal across the bay. The ever changing spectacular scenery, especially the seascape (including sealife – basking sharks, dolphins, whales and seals) can be observed from the hostel.
The hostel consists of two spacious ensuite dormitories with ten beds in each, double self catering kitchen where you can cook crabs, lobsters, mussel,oysters and fish – all available from the local fishery.
You can also fish or swim from the pier below. Some guests surf, dive, canoe with own equipment. Facilities include: cycle hire at hostel, walking routes in several languages and musical instruments available. No curfew but normally no new guests after 10pm.
Up to 20 guests at a basic price of €12 euro per person which can be booked in advance. If you do not bring your own sleeping bags/ bedsheet, a sheet can be borrowed at €1.50 extra. Duvets and pillows are supplied (prices at February 2014).
